Medi-facials, also known as medical facial treatments, go beyond traditional salon facials by offering therapeutic skin solutions. At The Bombay Skin Clinic, our treatments use dermatologist-backed technologies to deeply rejuvenate and lighten the skin. Whether you’re dealing with dullness or pigmentation, or simply want a long-lasting, radiant glow, our advanced medi-facial solutions deliver visible results without downtime.
Let’s dive deeper into this topic and understand everything that you should know about medi-facials.
What is a medi-facial?
Medi-facials are medical-grade facials that go above and beyond what a regular salon facial can offer. These treatments are designed to treat specific skin conditions or conditions and are safe for most skin types. Medi-facials are done at a certified and experienced dermatologist’s clinic using many devices and techniques that include microcurrents, dermaplaning, photorejuvenation, LED therapy, peels, microdermabrasion, and more.
They can help treat a range of issues such as dull, dry, or loose skin. They can repair the skin and restore a youthful, glowing, and hydrated look. They can be tailored to resolve sun damage, pigmentation issues, and signs of aging.
Benefits of a medi-facial
The benefits of a medi-facial are numerous. Usually, spa facials do not penetrate the skin deeply for an effective result. They are superficial. In medi-facials, devices like ultrasound and mesoporation can be used in combination with active ingredients such as vitamins, serums, chemical peels, and botanical extracts to give promising and long-lasting results.
Other benefits of a medi-facial are:
- Tighter skin
- Moisturized skin
- Relaxed mood and reduced stress
- Exfoliated, soft, and supple skin
- Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits
-
- Reduction in pigmentation and signs of aging
- Smoothed skin texture
-
- No downtime – perfect as a pre-event facial
- Painless and non-invasive
- Immediate glow and hydration within 24–72 hours
- Long-term cell regeneration (28–48 days)
- Suitable for nearly all skin types
Important notes to remember before getting a medi-facial
We like to inform our patients about a few important things to help them make a well-informed decision. These are:
- Each medi-facial is custom-tailored to meet certain skin needs
- Cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions happen on a more intense level than regular facials
- Medi-facials are safe and effective
- Medi-facials can complement other treatments like laser resurfacing and derma fillers
- Post-treatment, you can wear makeup; however, you must avoid doing so at least until the next day
- Medi-facials do not involve any downtime
- Post-treatment, you can expect some redness, which subsides within a few hours
- Medi-facials are usually safe for pregnant women; however, certain techniques like Microdermabrasion used during a medi-facial may not be suitable during pregnancy
What to expect while consulting with a dermatologist
When you consult with us at The Bombay Skin Clinic, it is important to first disclose all your medical history with the doctor. You must discuss any allergies you may have, previous skin treatments taken, and whether your skin is sensitive to any chemicals. This will help our doctors chart out the right medi-facial treatment plan for you. Our doctors will then study your skin type and needs, and then recommend suitable medi-facials that can help target the skin problems.
Ideal Candidates for Medi-Facial Treatment
You are an ideal candidate for medi-facial treatments if you experience skin issues like pigmentation, acne scars, dullness, uneven skin tone, or early signs of aging. Whether you’re looking for deep hydration, glow enhancement, or targeted skin repair, a medi-facial offers solutions tailored to your needs.
However, individuals with active skin infections, open wounds, or severe acne breakouts should avoid treatment until the skin stabilizes.
At The Bombay Skin Clinic, we begin every medi-facial procedure with a detailed consultation. Our dermatologists assess your skin type, medical history, and personal goals to recommend the most suitable type of medi-facial for you.
These medical facial treatments are designed for both men and women and are ideal for those seeking non-invasive, clinic-grade skin rejuvenation with visible results.
How will it feel? What can you expect?
Most of our patients experience a warm-to-hot sensation during the medi-facial. You may also feel a mild stinging sensation. This depends on the range of medi-facial treatments you may opt for, which may include chemical peels, dermabrasion, and the like. Be sure to inform your doctor if you have any history of sensitivity to the sun or viral infections. Do let him or her know if you have had previous facial treatments.
At The Bombay Skin Clinic, we go the extra mile to ensure your comfort, safety, and well-being during and after the procedure. If you require a local anesthetic , our doctors will help administer it if required
Steps Involved in a Medi-Facial

Types of medi-facials at The Bombay Skin Clinic
Specially designed and formulated by our medical director, Dr Batul Patel, At The Bombay Skin Clinic, we, offer an amazing slew of medi facials, which include:
- The Bombay Glass Skin Facial—This is a signature five-step facial that helps you get clear, glass-looking skin in no time. Starting off by cleaning the face with a vitamin C cleanser and a facial massage to relax the muscles, we follow up with hydradermabrasion to remove dead skin cells and infuse the skin with water. Then, after the dead skin cells are removed with a scalpel, a pure vitamin C solution is applied to lend radiance and reduce spots. Finally, a brightening mask that contains ingredients like seaweed is applied to give a fantastic glow. We recommend this as a glossy facial. The Bombay Bright Eye Treatment – This facial reduces the appearance of dark circles and fine lines and uses an advanced Q-switched laser to rejuvenate the skin and give an instant brightness. Then, a skin peel is applied with retinol, glycolic acid, or lactic acid to smoothen the skin and make it free from pigmentation. After that, high-intensity focused ultrasound energy heats the skin layers and tightens it. Then, the Dermapen 4 is used to allow penetration of the active molecules like hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. We recommend this as a glossy facial.
- The Bombay Intensive Vitamin C Facial – This treatment gives soft and radiant skin within 75 minutes. After the face is cleansed, we use a high-speed jet with pressurized air to gently cleanse and exfoliate the face. After an advanced Q-switched laser is used to give instant brightness, a specialised desquacrem with fatty acids from coconut oil is applied, followed by the application of Vitamin C in its purest form. Then, a special cream, which contains marine collagen, avocado, macadamia oil, and vitamin C, is massaged on the face for instant smoothness, after which an energy boost ampoule helps to reduce wrinkles with Siberian ginseng, rice peptide, and almond biofiber. Ginseng is particularly known to help prevent wrinkles, as noted by the Journal of Ginseng Research. We recommend this as a pampering and vitamin overload facial.
- Anti-Clock Facial – Specially designed for mature, saggy, and dry or dehydrated skin, this seven-step facial begins with a vitamin C cleansing milk and high-speed micro jet exfoliation. Then, an enzymatic peel containing pineapple extract is massaged on the face, followed by a brightening lotion containing an exotic ingredient like Scutellaria, which fights free radicals, as per the National Centre for Biotechnology Information. It also contains licorice, which helps in complexion brightening. As per the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, liquorice is an effective brightening agent. Following this is the application of force marine oxygen and firmness serum for the oxygenation of cells and skin elasticity; a mixture of anti-aging plumping mousse and plumping oil is applied; this mixture has micro hyaluronic acid for promoting collagen production and seaweed extracts for restoring youth and firmness; and finally, a brightening and hydrating mask with ingredients from spirulina, sea plants, and seaweeds brightens the face.
- The Bombay Pumpkin Facial – For deep moisturizing and advanced exfoliation, this seven-step medi-facial is the key. After the face is cleansed with a vitamin A and C cleanser, crystal-free hydradermabrasion exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and bathes the skin gently in water. A natural pumpkin peel is then applied to improve the overall clarity, texture, and smoothness. A green tea neutraliser is applied followed by a pumpkin activator and cellular matrix C. Post this, a dry collagen mask is applied and cleansed with warm water, and then a biopeptide rejuvenation serum is applied. Finally, for a fantastic glow, we apply an omega-3 marine mask. We recommend this as a natural and renewing treatment.
- The Bombay Hollywood Laser Peel – Also known as the Spectra carbon peel, this medi-facial heals damaged skin for a quick, refreshing look. Preferred by A-listers like Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie, it can even the skin tone, reduce pigmentation, decrease fine lines and scars, and give you a younger appearance. After a vitamin C-rich cleanser and crystal-free hydradermabrasion, a carbon peel is applied evenly on the face. Following this, we apply a Q-switched laser to heat the carbon and disperse it to rejuvenate the skin and improve clarity and brightness. Then, natural aloe vera is applied to soothe and hydrate the skin. Lastly, a natural brightening and hydrating mask containing active ingredients from sea plants, seaweeds, and spirulina is applied to brighten the face.
- The Bombay Infusion Facial – This non-invasive medi-facial helps to infuse important nutrients deep into the skin to brighten, rejuvenate, and hydrate it. After a vitamin A and C cleanser, hydradermabrasion cleanses the face, and we apply a gentle peel containing arginine, lactic acid, kojic acid, and arbutin acid to improve the skin texture. Then, natural aloe vera gel helps to enrich the skin with minerals, vitamins, and amino acids. After this, electroporation enhances the permeability of skin tissues. Then, electro-osmosis allows the serum to penetrate deep into the skin. A cold hammer is used to calm the skin and seal the serum infusions within. Finally, a hydrating and natural brightening mask containing active ingredients from sea plants, seaweeds, and spirulina is applied to brighten the face. We recommend this as a calming facial.
- Superjet Facial – This is based on advanced aesthetic technology and includes five steps. First, a vitamin C-rich cleansing milk is used to remove skin dirt and impurities. Second, a high-speed microjet spray uses pressurised air to accelerate a jet of microdroplets, which gently cleanse and exfoliate. Third, photodynamic light therapy is applied to stimulate blood and improve lymphatic circulation and collagen production. Fourth, an oxygen water spray is used to deliver pulsated oxygen, and a specially formulated serum containing arginine, vitamin C, and kojic acid helps to exfoliate and brighten the skin while improving its texture. Oxygen helps to heal and rejuvenate the skin while the peel reduces pigmentation. Fifth, oxygen and hyaluronic acid are injected via a no-needle pressure oxygen injection to strengthen the cells. As an add-on, a specially formulated Korean face mask is applied to further brighten the skin. We recommend this as an intensely hydrating and rejuvenating facial.

It is ideal for brides before their big day. After a Vitamin C-rich radiance cleansing milk is used to remove make-up and dirt and high-speed micro jet spray clean and exfoliate the skin, an enzymatic peel containing vitamin C and natural pineapple extract is massaged onto the face. A skin tone activating serum and skin tone brightening serum are then applied to give a glow and soften the face. Post this, a vitamin C brightening cream is applied, and then a natural hydrating and brightening mask containing active ingredients from spirulina, sea plants, and seaweed is applied to brighten the face. Results to expect
Most patients see visible changes like skin brightness and smoother texture within 10–15 days post-treatment. Results vary based on the type of medi-facial chosen and skin condition. Before and after medi-facial photos often reveal clearer pores, even tone, and a youthful glow.
Medi Facial Treatment Price & Frequency
Pricing varies based on the type and duration of medi-facial treatments. Our options range from ₹3,500 to ₹9,000 per session. For persistent concerns like acne or pigmentation, 4–6 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart may be needed.
How long medi-facials usually last
Generally, medi-facials at our clinic last anywhere between 30 minutes and one hour. This again depends on your unique skin needs and the number of treatment sessions that you require. You may face some mild discomfort during the treatment because of the various skin enhancement techniques used on your skin.
Steps to follow after the facial
Because medi-facials use medical-grade treatments on your face, we recommend that our patients limit exposure to the sun. The skin can have increased sensitivity, so you need to avoid touching or irritating the skin too often.
Generally, we also advise our patients to follow a good skincare routine post-treatment. This routine includes using a daily sunscreen with mild ingredients and avoiding saunas and steam rooms. You may apply effective night creams, keep yourself hydrated, and maintain a healthy diet to get the most out of your treatment.
How medi-facial is different from other facials (charcoal, HIFU, O3+ fruit, etc.)
As mentioned, medi-facials use medical ingredients to precisely target certain skin needs and deliver a well-rounded treatment. They employ varied techniques to give a holistic remedy. This makes medi-facials different from other facials like charcoal, HIFU, and O3+ fruit facials.
A charcoal facial only uses activated charcoal to draw dirt and impurities from the skin, whereas a medi-facial uses a combination of vitamins, enzymes, and essential ingredients to replenish and rejuvenate the skin. In a High-Intensity Focused (HIFU) treatment, ultrasound energy is applied to the skin to target structural weakness and deep layers under the foundation and dermis layers. An O3+ facial only helps brighten the skin and reduce pigmentation and pigmentation control, whereas medi-facials help in overall nutrient replenishment and tackling other issues like texture, tone, firmness, and more.
